Craaaaaap! I had a nice long post written up, but it got deleted!!!

I haven't been around much (not that I am around much usually, anyway), mainly because my DSL is down. I switched from AT+T DSL to Verizon DSL back in the beginning of August, but it hasn't been activated due to line problems on Verizons end. They need to replace a part on their lines in Brooklyn that keeps new customers from getting their DSL delivered to their homes. They don't know when it'll be fixed. We'll wait awhile, but if it isn't fixed soon, we'll probably switch to another DSL provider or to Cable internet. For now, I'm using Verizon dial-up. Ughhh, dial-up....

I plan on getting a new computer soon, however I think I'm going to ditch Microsoft and move to the biggest of the underdog OS's, Macintosh (I still remember when Apple computers were regularly called Macintosh, not just Mac...) Yep, I plan on getting a Mac Mini... check it out here: The Mac Mini! It's so sexy... Of course, I'm not looking for something that just looks good. It's also pretty powerful. That said, there are definitely more powerful Mac's and PC's out there. The Mini uses a G4 processor, however the newest Mac Desktops use a G5 processor. It's still powerful, though, especially when compared to my current PC. I plan on getting the version with an 80GB hard drive (8 times the memory I have on my PC!). I'm also going to upgrade it's RAM to 1GB... apparently that makes a huge difference. It costs a little more with the extra RAM, but it's worth it.

Hopefully I'll be getting it soon. I think I'm going to try it out at the Apple store in the city before I buy it though.

Classes are great... I enjoy them a lot. I have great professors this semester, thank god!

Anyway, I'd better stop tying up my telephone line. I'll post again once I get my DSL (and hopefully I'll be on my Mac Mini, too!)

Well, I got a cell phone. Its a Motorola V220 w/ Cingular service. Free mobile to mobile, free nights and weekends, and 600 anytime minutes w/ rollover. My mom decided I needed one, so she got it for my birthday. I told her she didn't have to, but it was nice of her. Now I don't have to depend on payphones anymore (which, as of late, have been VERY annoying and never let me contact the people I need to when I need to the most...).

I can also talk to some ppl free which is great. I love free! Yay! Free! Cingular users can talk to other cingular users and ATT users for free. As of now, that means I can talk to Rafal and Joe for free! I think Nunzia has ATT, but I dunno. That's really just a guess, i.e. there's no facts to back it up. Not Reyenne, though. She has T-Mobile! Evil! And I'm pretty sure Charles and Maria use Verizon, as do my sister, Keli, and Jared. I'm not sure about anyone else. Not that it really matters... people can still call me on it... after 9 PM I actually really don't want to use up my weekday minutes, so, aside for free people, I'd rather people call my house first before my cell on weekdays before 9PM unless we're meeting or I'm not home. I'm not cheap, I just don't like spending money that isn't mine (i.e., my Mom's.) Not that I get many calls anyway, lol.

As for giving people my number, I figure its easiest to post here. If you would like my number, make sure you let me know! This way I don't forget anyone. Its on your heads if you don't get it, Xanga readers! Bwahahaha I'm not going to post the number here for obvious reasons, but e-mail me and I'll e-mail it back to you. Ok? easy enough.

Anyway, things are going fine. Schools almost over, which is weird because it went by so unbelievably quickly. Plus I'm going to be 19 soon... I'm so old now *cries* lol

I haven't really had much to post lately. Some people *cougherincough* have been complaining that I don't post, so I figured I'd finally do it since I actually have something of slight interest to post.

I... hate... snow...

lol, well I don't actually hate snow itself, but I hate shoveling it. It kills my back so much... I can barely move. I can't even bend over the sink to wash my hands without pain. I've always had a bad back... lately I've been going to back therapy for it. My therapist is probably going to yell at me for shoveling lol. I had to, though. I can't wait for back therapy on Tues., tho... it helps so much.

I got my new school schedule a week or two ago. I have off on Wednesdays! Nice! But late classes Tues, Thurs, and Fri. BOOOO! lol, its ok tho. I'm taking: Religions of the East, Intro to CIS (Comp science), Intro to Art History, Abnormal Psychology (illnesses like Schizo, etc.), and Classical Origins (Greek Literature). Seem like fun classes to me... I like this kind of stuff. Originally I was going to take NYC Folklore, but it was filled by the time they let me register. They wouldn't let Freshman register until January 10!!! Rediculous! And they wouldn't let me until the 11th. They assigned everyone days to go. I was there from 1:30 to about maybe 6. >_<

Well, I finally finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. That was an amazing book... anyone who can get their hands on it should really read it. So great...

Well, I FINALLY got my grades back...

Core 3 (People, Power, and Politics) -- A-

English Comp. 1 -- A-

Speech 3 -- B+

Psychology 1.1 -- B+

Overall GPA -- 3.515

THANK GOD. I was so scared I did horribly in Psych... the final was uber hard. How I got an overall B+ I don't know, but why ask questions I get to keep my small but very helpful scholarship. Phew.

Now all I have to do is register for classes... I have to go next Tuesday (the 11th) at 1:45.

It's about time I've written. I haven't been keeping my xanga up to date, as you can see. Things are going well. I'm taking finals... my last one is tomorrow! Almost over! THANK GOD. After that I can focus on the most important thing in life... playing Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Joe went out and bought it for me!!! I love him so much I'm gonna just have to kill him for buying it!!! So great of him... but he made me promise not to do anything in return...

In my English class, we had secret santa... I know, that's kind of weird in college, but we wanted to and we had a cool teacher. (For anyone in FIT or Brooklyn College, make sure you take English with Jill Rosenberg... she's great!!!) I got the girl I had, Kate, the Maroon 5 CD and a Stewie patch. She had told me previously she liked them... she seemed happy when she opened her gift, so that's good. It turned out my secret santa was... the teacher, lol. She got my Phantasy Star Online Episode's I+II Plus for Gamecube. I was actually really shocked. I wanted that game... it's kind of like an expansion pack to the one I already have. I don't know how anyone knew I liked that game, though... I'm thinking maybe someone saw that I listed it in my facebook entry.

Christmas is going to be a little weird this year... we're having it at my grandpa's house. As of late, he's pretty much stuck in the house. He has trouble walking (pretty much can't) and he has a 24 hour nurse (more like aid... I don't think they're trained as nurses...). My mom doesn't have the time to cook this year, so my aunt and uncle are bringing over pot pies that are easy to cook... just heat in the oven. What a dinner... next year I'll catch that dang possum and cook us a fab-u-lous feast, hyuck. I guess I can't really complain, though. Everyone's doing their best. You can't really cook much in my grandpa's house... its nice of them to do this at all, and I really do appreciate. Naturally, tho, I'm still a little disappointed, as I'm sure anyone would be. You've gotta do what you've gotta do I suppose, tho. Maybe next year I can afford to buy the food myself, and maybe I'll attempt cooking a dinner for everyone. That would be nice...

I'm pretty low on cash, too. I think I'm worth about $20, haha. There are so many people I want to get gifts for, but I can't. Hopefully everyone will understand. Next year I'll try to avoid getting into this position again. Astroland should open up around March or April... I'll probably start working when it does. I made a lot of money over the summer just working for around 2 months. This time I'll be able to make a lot more most likely. That'll be nice. I'll buy people Easter gifts instead, lol.

I'm pretty tired... just finished putting lights up in our windows. I know, its late to put them. Some people put thyem up before its even Dec... *coughreyennecough* We were never ones to do it early, though.

Checking my e-mail everyday, I've noticed there are a lot less people posting on Xanga out of the people I subscribed to. I guess everyone's just been busy like me.
